Gayà: "We are going to focus on the next game"
The captain talks to VCF Media
José Luis Gayà spoke to VCF Media after the 0-3 loss to Atletico Madrid at Mestalla.
ANALYSING THE GAME
“In the second half we understood the game much better. We changed a couple of things and we corrected a couple of things. The team looked different, but it's a shame that in the end we conceded that third goal, because I think that in the second half we were better than them. In the first half they could have also scored their third goal against us, when we lost the ball, and it's just a shame. However, we are going to move forward after this.”
THE POSSIBLE PENALTY
“I am not going to talk about the referees. We already know what happens if we talk about them, so it is better not to talk."
THE SECOND HALF REACTION
“In the end we can take away the reaction from the team, but it's a shame because we were on a good run and we thought that we were going to have real chances of scoring points.”
HIS 300 GAMES IN LALIGA
“I didn't remember that statistic, but in the end it doesn't matter if you don't win, because today I was thinking about taking those three points that would have given us a big lift. In the end, we're going to think about the next game and we're going to rebuild ourselves.”
